Center for Global Communicable & Emerging Infectious Diseases

The Center for Global Communicable & Emerging Infectious Diseases is home to research and educational programs working around the globe on infectious diseases. The center investigates pressing communicable disease challenges worldwide, trains new physician leaders and conducts lifesaving research to improve clinical care through partnerships with academic institutions and nonprofit organizations worldwide.

We investigate infectious diseases of global public health importance such as HIV, viral hepatitis, malaria and neglected tropical diseases. Members of the center work to advance and apply scientific knowledge in these areas through innovative research in diagnostics, treatments, vaccines and other prevention strategies.

Our center also prepares the next generation of global health experts in communicable and emerging infectious diseases through rigorous research, education and capacity-building programs.
